How Do I Add a Space to a Site? (Building/Warehouse/Park/Chalet/Impervious Area)  

If a support building, green space area, or impervious area is required on a site, use the Add Space command to include those areas on your site

Add Space

  1. Click the three dots at the end of the site layer and select Add Space

  2. Select the space type and draw method.
  3. Draw your desired building/area.
  4. If an offset is required around the space/building, right click inside the space and select Create Offset



Adding a Space to a Space

If a building/space is required on top of the previously placed area, repeat the process but select the previously added area.




Modifying an Existing Space

Once a space has been place you can change it to a different type of Space by selecting it in the Nav-Tree and expanding the Type  drop down. Each Space has a predetermined set of customizable parameter values.

Conditioned - A generic volume. Contains no efficiency percentage, load factor, or parking requirement.

Unconditioned - A generic unconditioned volume. Contains no efficiency percentage, load factor, or parking requirement.

Retail - Used for shopping/stores/restaurants. Does contain an efficiency percentage, load factor, and parking requirement.

Void - A blank void volume that can cut through other spaces. 

Multifamily -  Used for high density buildings. Does contain an efficiency percentage, unit average, and parking ratio.

Hotel - Used for hotels/motels. Does contain an efficiency percentage, key average, and parking ratio.

Modular - Used for modular buildings. Does contain an efficiency percentage, unit average, and parking ratio.

Housing - Used for low density buildings / Single family homes / Townhomes. Does contain an efficiency percentage, unit average, and parking ratio.

Parking Mass - A multi level, low detail parking structure. Contains a Stall average attribute.

Office - Used for office buildings. Does contain an efficiency percentage, Load factor, and parking ratio.

Park - A green space with variable tree density/size attributes. Contains a Load factor, and parking requirement.  

Civic - Used for general civic centers. Contains an efficiency percentage, Load factor, and parking ratio.

Pond - Used for water features / Retention. Has a depth value. 

Industrial - Used for industrial warehouses. Contains an efficiency factor. 

Impervious - Used as an impervious flat space on a site. Used to increase the impervious coverage value in the tabulation.

Roof Cvg - Used as a flat area within high density buildings to represent useable rooftop areas.
