How do I maximize daylight exposure?

Quickly assess solar performance with a new daylight visualization option in the Shadows dialog. This feature color-codes each surface based on how much sunlight it receives over a selected time period, helping you evaluate building orientation and shadow impact in early feasibility.

To utilize the Maximize daylight tool, first toggle on Blocks in a high-density preset property panel.

 

Once Blocks is toggled on, then toggle on Maximize daylight.

Set the desired envelopeelope minimum levels.

The blocks of high-density buildings will adjust in height to maximize daylight.

The heatmap for the daylight study can also be turned on under the Shadows settings.

To turn on the heatmap, set the desired time and ensure shadows, multiple shadows, and heatmap are all selected and highlighted blue.
