Apply and Edit Roads in Lower Density and Parcels

Low Density drive networks now support the use of road sections from the road database.

Circulation, Internal, and Connection roads can be assigned to the internal drive network of a region on a site. Road sections can be selected from the default road database or a custom road database.

To Assign Road Sections:

  1. Select the Low Density preset region layer in the Navigation Tree.
  2. Scroll to the Property Panel.
  3. Choose the road location type, then use the dropdown to apply the appropriate road section.

Road Types:

  • Circulation Roads: Define the outer boundary of the region.
  • Internal Roads: Connect rows of units or parcels to the circulation roads.
  • Connection Roads: Divide large rows of internal roads when Max Block Length is enabled.

Connectors toggle:

  • Connectors are road segments that bridge subdivided areas, helping resolve irregular region geometries. Connection Roads may be internally connected or remain separate. Not all solves will have Connectors.

Once road sections are applied, they can be manually edited in the Canvas window:

  • With the Low Density region layer selected, hover over a road section.
  • Right-click to open the context menu.
  • Select "Change" to choose and apply a different road section.

Note: The Ignore Roads toggle in the Site Property Panel controls whether roads external to the site inherit setback properties. When enabled, external roads are excluded from applying setbacks within the site.
