Can I Link Identical Layers in my Site?

By utilizing Link Layers you can modify identical layers in a site.

If a site contains multiple regions, and those regions contain solves with identical layers (Units/Verticals/Stalls/Access/Garage/Building) they can be linked together so that global modifications can be applied.

In the example below the three buildings (in three separate regions), all have a different number of levels and we need to link the units layer so we can adjust the unit target mix to include 3-bed unitsLinkLayer1

  1. Click the 3 dots at the end of the units layer (any of the 3 can be selected),and click Select Similar
  2. All the similar layer in the Nav-Tree will light up. Click the 3 dots again and select Link Layers
  3. The Link Layer symbol will appear and any modification you make too any layer will be applied to the others

Linking Layers to Match Properties

Depending on what layer is selected and then linked, can effect the other regions of a site. In the example below the shortest building is selected when being linked to the others. Notice how the number of levels lowers to match that specific regions settings.
