How can I adjust the Circulation type of an Industrial Solve?

The Internal Drive Network supports three types of Circulation patterns that determine the orientation and relationship of drives to warehouses within a region or site: Internal, Perimeter, and External.

Most industrial typologies and presets support multiple circulation types, enabling users to control how the internal drive network is structured and how warehouses relate to circulation within the site.


1. Internal Circulation

Internal Circulation centralizes the flow of movement within the interior of the site.
Buildings are positioned along these internal drives and typically align with the boundaries of the region and/or site. This layout emphasizes inward-facing organization, creating a cohesive internal network that defines the site’s internal structure.


2. Perimeter Circulation

Perimeter Circulation places the primary drives along the outer edge of the region or site.
In this configuration, buildings are centralized within the bounds of the perimeter network. This layout emphasizes external access and can create clear, defined site edges suitable for contained developments.


3. External Circulation

External Circulation establishes multiple rows of internal drives that organize buildings within the region or site. These internal drives extend outward and terminate at the site boundary, allowing to represent potential connections to existing external infrastructure. This approach provides flexibility for integration with surrounding road networks and supports phased or modular site expansion. Only single loaded warehouses can be applied to the site when external circulation is enabled.
