How Do Multiple Users Collaborate on a Deal?
A deal that needs to be worked on by multiple users needs to be in a shared pipeline.
Before walking through the process of having multiple users working in a single deal, it's very important to note that only one user can be in the deal at a time.
A TestFit deal is not a shared workspace that multiple users can be working in at the same time. One user in the deal at a time.
Shared Pipeline
Before the deal is created, it's recommended to create a shared pipeline that every user in the organization has access to. Follow these steps to create a shared pipeline:
- From the DEAL PIPELINE, click the new pipeline icon(
)and give your new pipeline a name
- Click the three dots at the end of the new pipeline and access the Permissions dialog box
- In the Add users and groups section, select everyone, and then change the role to Editor so that anyone working in this folder can edit the deals. Then click Save
Your shared deal pipeline is now ready to accept deals.
Moving a Deal to the Shared Pipeline
By default, deals are saved to your personal named pipeline. Create your deal as you normally would and save it to the cloud. If you are moving an existing deal to the shared pipeline the steps remain the same.- Locate the deal in your personal pipeline and click the three dots at the end of the deal name.
- Click the Move command.
- Click the back arrow to navigate back to your main pipeline and locate the newly created shared pipeline. Select it, and click MOVE HERE
- From the main DEAL PIPELINE, open your shared pipeline and click the three dots at the end of the deal that was just moved there.
- Change the Permissions to the everyone group.
This deal is now accessible to everyone in your organization. In place of selecting the everyone group, you can select individuals, or other custom created groups of users.
Remember: a deal that has been shared with multiple users should only be worked on by one user at a time. It is not a work-sharing environment.
