General Updates
Lock a Site with New Workflow
TestFit now makes site creation easier and more precise with new tools for locating and defining your site area. You can search for a site using an address or GPS coordinates, then lock the site area to begin your design. Once locked, you can define the site boundaries as usual by parcels, boundary or metes and bounds.
Place Trees Automatically with Density Adjustment
The Park layer now supports automatic tree placement with the ability to adjust the density and scale of the trees.
Auto-save to Cloud
TestFit now automatically saves your deals to your personal Pipeline on the web. When you're ready, you can move it to your organization's Pipeline and seamlessly share it with colleagues or collaborators.
Track Version History
On the web, TestFit enables easier and more seamless collaboration by tracking individual activity within a deal. With version history, you can view a timeline of changes made by your team and easily revert to a previous version if needed — keeping everyone on the same page.
Generative Design Updates
Set Parameter Constraints
Generative design in TestFit is now even more customizable. You decide which parameters to adjust — giving you full control over your design process. Activate Generative Design for a specific component to set a range of values, letting our algorithm optimize within those limits for the best possible solves. Need something fixed in place? Simply deactivate Generative Design for that parameter to lock it in.
This new flexibility lets you fine-tune details while still leveraging the power of generative design throughout your site planning process.
Multi-Family Updates
Use Multiple Unit Mixes in 1 Building
You can now use multiple unit databases in a single building. Each Unit layer can have its own database and level range, giving you more flexibility in your designs. Plus, cores and hallways stay seamlessly coordinated across floors, even if you’re changing unit databases per level.

Set Parking, Townhomes, and Garden Layout to Rows Only
Building on infill sites or areas with existing circulation—like shopping center parking lots—often means prioritizing housing or parking over internal circulation. With our new "Rows Only" option, you can easily remove internal edge circulation drives, letting internal drives connect directly to external circulation for a more efficient layout.
Data Centers Updates
Add End Bays to Data Halls
Data centers are often designed based on prototypes that are built around core Data Halls, with additional components attached as needed. You can now start with your core building block and easily add elements like electric bays, yards (on either side of the site), or an admin/office wing. Then, let our generative design tool optimize the entire site based on your new prototype.
Improved Power Parameters & Calculations
With the new “Use Per-Bay Power” toggle, you can now input a set MW value for IT power per Data Hall, making it much simpler than working with Target Power Density.
With Per-Bay Power, you’ll also need to design PUE to determine non-IT power, helping you calculate the total Critical Power
Data Maps Updates
New Parcels Data for Canada
